The American Association of Orthodontics and the Canadian Association of Orthodontics recommends that children should have an orthodontic evaluation no later than age 7. At this age, a child’s natural growth process is well underway. This means any problems that are detected are easier to treat. Even when teeth look straight, a child may have underlying problems!

Therefore, it is difficult to provide you with an exact estimate without being seen by Dr. Mir. Once you have been seen by the orthodontist, he will be able to provide you with the cost of your treatment plan.

York Orthodontics does not deal directly with patients insurance companies. However, we will help you gather all the information you need regarding coverage on your treatment plan.

When you make payment in the office, we will provide you with a receipt after every transaction made. You can then submit that receipt to your insurance company to claim your coverage.  

Yes, York Orthodontics offers Invisalign treatment plans. Invisalign is the clear alternative to traditional braces.

No, braces are not painful. You may experience slight discomfort when first getting braces and after adjustments.

Once you have committed to a treatment plan, Dr. Mir must see you every 4-6 weeks for an adjustment.
